Establishing Good Credit

How to get a credit card with no credit? Many youngsters are concerned about this problem. The fact is credit card companies prefer to give credit only to people with good credit history. Lenders often avoid people with no credit, as these potential clients are considered to be a great risk. My friend and I have recently consulted a financial expert, who told about some useful credit card tips.
If you are student, you will have no problem with getting a student credit card. Student credit cards often come with more favorable terms than regular plastics for people with no credit. Other consumers can also easily find a deal that will meet their needs. But they will probably have to pay higher interest and an annual fee.
Before to apply for a plastic, consider all pros and cons of a deal. Mind, credit cards are not plastic toys. Every credit card implies debt and demands great responsibility. So, before signing an application, read carefully the agreement. Thus, you will avoid many problems. Never miss your payments. Moreover, if you want to establish good credit you must always make payments on time. Try to make more than a minimum payment a month, it will let you save on interest charges and will help to build strong financial future.

Every Crisis Tells....

You know, every bowl tells. The crisis on US credit market has certain consequences: banks and credit card companies are increasing fees and minimum payments.

So, if your credit card has an annual fee it is the time to look for a credit card without an annual fee.

Many credit card holders can face with unmanageable monthly payments. Now many consumers have to look for a way to reduce their monthly spendings in order to manage these high minimum payments.

Well, it was obvious that the crisis on the credit market will affect many people, but who knew that it would be in this way. Maybe, it is time to get rid of credit cards?

What is better : a secured credit card or a credit card with co signor?

My friends told me that I am lucky that I managed to transfer my credit balance to a card with lower APR.  It could have been worse.

When one of my friends, Mike, faced big financial problems last year and he had much more difficulties in getting a credit card to repair credit than I have.

When Mike decided to get a new credit card, he got a decline for a card with better features. They offered him to get a secured credit card with bad credit or pay attention to credit card applications with co signor.

Mike really felt at loss.  Luckily, his brother-in-law knew much more about credit cards than Mike did. He advised Mike to choose a secured credit card. They looked through the offers of the best credit card companies for people with bad credit and the list of top up credit cards. And they managed to find a proper offer.

Mike says, though his secured credit card doesn’t give him the benefits of a usual credit card, he is quite happy about his card! The main thing, he has managed to control his spendings and now he doesn’t need to worry about exceeding his limit. He just can’t do it, as secured credit cards let you spend only the money you put on your account.  Besides, Mike says, his credit history is going to be improved!

Well, I agree that secured credit cards can be of great help to people with bad credit. But still they lack some features of usual credit cards. So, I prefer a credit card with lower limit to any secured card.  And what would you choose?
